New Age Media to Run WZMY
By Michael Page | January 12, 2010
According to TVNewsCheck, the licensee of WZMY-TV (ShootingStar Broadcasting of New England) has signed a three year deal with New Age Media that would allow New Age to manage all aspects of the Derry, New Hampshire based station.
The announcement comes just weeks after the station’s last on air personality, meteorologist Al Kaprielian, was let go after more than two decades with WNDS/WZMY. Based on the report, it seems as though this managerial move is being made to make the station more competitive in the face of larger media companies.
While we are talking about MyTV, it is worth noting that Al is still on the radio in Lowell, and now in Boston as well. His forecasts will be on Oldies 103.3 Friday mornings :55 past the hour.

If Al’s weather on 103.3 WODS on Friday mornings is a huge success I think he will do the weather every weekday morning on the Zito and Karen Blake Morning Show!

At least he gets his voice run, thank goodness to Al. However, it’s just not going to be the same to hear “HIGH Pressure” with his swing of the arm in front of the green screen…

Last night I was channel surfing during the 11 O’clock time for the Boston news channels to come on.
How come the media reports about Martha Coakley 1st then Scott Brown?
Is the Boston Media that Liberal to make Martha look that good?

Michael Page, Let us know who brings in the most rating during the celebrity telethon to raise money for Haiti. On Friday night.
I am curious which network local tv network will be on the top tonight. 1/22/2010

I probably won’t get numbers from tonight because it really wasn’t a “try to win” situation. They usually only send out the numbers when something is more contentious. Tonight was more of a unified effort to help Haiti.
