SportsCenter 5 OT

Starting tomorrow night, NewsCenter 5 will launch a new sports segment. The premiere will be live from Cincinnati. SportsCenter 5 OT will run each Sunday night starting right after the weather until 11:45 PM. Mike Lynch will host the show, but other sports reporters will contribute to it.

Adam Pellerin has arrived at FOX 25 as a reporter. Adam, who grew up in Norton, MA, comes from WGME-TV, CBS 13 in Portland, ME. There, he was a sports reporter.

News Day Live

The Globe reports that beginning on Monday, NECN will launch a new show from 4-6 PM. “News Day Live” will be anchored by Beth Shelburne and Leslie Gaydos Monday through Thursday, and by Beth and Ally Donnelly on Friday. Another reporter from WFSB-TV in Hartford has arrived at Fox 25 today. Diana Rocco was reporting for the station on their 5 PM news.

WBZ-TV and TV 38 announced today that Jeff Kiernan has been named the new News Director for both stations. He comes to Boston from WCCO, the CBS O & O in Minneapolis where he was ND for four years. He will begin here on Monday  September 24.
