Station of the Year

 Last night, WCVB-TV was honored by the Associated Press as News Station of the Year. This is the second year in a row in which NewsCenter 5 has won the award. Earlier this year, WCVB won AP awards for best newscast, excellent breaking news videography and their coverage of the Big Dig Tunnel Disaster.

Kazakiewich Full Time

Todd Kazakiewich, who has been a fill in reporter at WCVB for three years, has been hired as a full time reporter. Todd has been working at WFSB in Hartford as a reporter/anchor while not at Newscenter 5.
