Reinforcements for Pats Season

WBZ is calling in some reinforcements for Patriots season. Levan Reid joined the sports department this week as a freelancer. He will cover the Pats for WBZ throughout the season. Reid, who worked in Boston years ago, recently spent several years at WUSA-TV in Washington, DC.

Boston Fixture Dies

John Henning, a fixture in Boston television for four decades, passed away Wednesday night at age 73. Henning worked both as a reporter and as a political analyst for several Boston television stations, including WBZ, WCVB, and WNAC. He stopped reporting full time for WBZ in 2003. Connolly Promoted

Several have inquired about Kerry Connolly’s new role at WBZ-TV. After Kerry returned from maternity leave at the end of May, she was promoted to the anchor the station’s weekend morning shows. Kerry returned to WBZ after several years away from the station last summer to do traffic during weekday morning newscasts.

News 10, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento (market 20), would not confirm or deny this information.
